Icicle

Yesterday we heard a thump from upstairs in the house; we were watching TV at the time, and all the cats happened to be within sight (what Tim would call “throwing distance”) so we didn’t worry about it too much. This morning, though, I looked out through the bedroom window… that’s our little backyard below and my car behind… and I saw “the icicle”. I’ve seen them hanging from neighbours’ eves, and didn’t notice we had such a big one. But it stuck in the snow on the roof when it fell, and this is its carcass. It’s been a fairly mild winter but we have had some intense days. I’m looking forward to spring.
